Have you recovered from ISC West 2025? Well, we may still be nursing our tired feet and hoarse voices, but we’ve already had time to reminisce about this year’s event. It was bigger, louder, and busier than ever before. The opportunities were endless! We got a deep dive into the latest trends (hey there, Ai video monitoring) and insights in the security world, saw new technologies on the exhibit floor, and spent time meeting editors, analysts, partners, and customers. Of course, we also attended some fabulous events, like the National Monitoring Center’s party at Cheri Rooftop at Paris. Whether it was during an education session, a customer appreciation party, or even in passing in the hallway, we made valuable connections and participated in great conversations about where the industry is and where it is heading.
Shifting to Proactive Video Monitoring
To no one’s surprise, everyone was talking about the growth of intelligent video monitoring. It’s clear that more end users are looking to adopt a proactive security mindset, and more integrators and dealers are looking to build a business built on a consistent revenue stream. Of course, we know a little bit about this market, so we spent time discussing what makes Netwatch’s monitoring services different. It’s evident that the industry is moving toward a new era, one based on a more proactive approach. But to get there, we must mitigate risks and have the data required to achieve this approach.
Artificial Intelligence is Here to Stay
And that’s where AI comes in. It is obvious: AI is not going anywhere. The use cases for AI in security are still emerging, but the opportunities are endless. According to the 2025 Security Industry Association Megatrends Report, “Of the estimated 90 million cameras installed globally, very few use AI, but that is changing. If you further divide those 90 million cameras, a low percentage will use standard analytics.” The AI-driven video platforms will analyze large datasets to predict and deter incidents, and integrating AI with live audio and video monitoring becomes a much more valuable offering. Recent developments in AI are reshaping security standards and paving the way for enhanced safety, and we’ve only just begun.

The 2025 SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 Awards were a highlight of the week. Nicola Oakie, Netwatch’s Vice President of Sales, was announced as a SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 Honoree! We were incredibly proud to watch Nicola accept her award, not only because she is an essential part of the Netwatch community but also because she’s truly made an impact on the market. She leads efforts to increase the adoption of AI-driven services, amplify women’s voices, and create an environment that celebrates diversity and belonging.
Netwatch is grateful for the opportunity to learn the latest security technologies, broaden our knowledge with education sessions, and connect with other individuals in the security space. We’re already looking forward to what next year at ISC West will bring!
